Poor and unsafe crossing for cyclists and walkers across A71. Fast traffic and wide road to cross

A dual carriageway comes from Livingston to Dobbies roundabout, the cars are going way too fast on to the roundabout and not looking for cycles at all. I had another near death miss this morning, I had gone around the roundabout from A89 B ... [more]

This is a very important commuters route into Edinburgh. The road is plenty wide enough but cars still pass too close. Dedicated cycle lanes all the way to Kirkliston would improve safety.

There is plenty of room here to create a safe cycle lane which provides access for Springfield estate and Blackness. It can be a scary bit of road due to the speed of cars as the 40moh is not enforced

East Whitburn to Blacburn. Vehicles passing very close, especially due to bollards in middle of road which reduce the width of road available. Could pavement be widened to allow for pedestrians and cyclists. Or a physical barrier on road ... [more]

The cycle lane is all chopped up and very bumpy , new layer would improve safety

Livingston. Dark tree covered intimidating path

The Union Canal towpath gets quite muddy when wet

Coming into Bathgate from the west, NCN75 crosses the railway line, but the ramp up to the bridge faces east, entailing path-users doubling back. There are no double-backs on the adjacent railway line!

The pedestrian crossing where users of the A89 cyclepath must cross side road (see #37338). Despite the End of Route sign, the route continues to Newbridge across the other side of the pedestrian crossing.

Another A89 junction with no thought put into how cyclepath should cross it - see #37335

Junction of A89 cyclepath and link to Union Canal (NCN 754) completely devoid of signage

Junction with local path requires cyclists following A89 cyclepath to swerve around lamppost
