The gate for access to path around loch is difficult to get through with my mobility scooter

V Narrow footpath for walking, unsafe under normal conditions

Footpath is too narrow. Difficult to walk with children, poor crossing of B7031

The pavement is too narrow and the speed limit is not enforced. The road is too narrow making cycling to the Leisure centre terrifying

This path links to the cycle path to West Calder High School and Polbeth. The existing path is directly outside front doors of houses. Needs widening to reduce the chance of residents and bikes colliding.

Appears to have been a short cut worn down by casual use and no longer used, overgrown and blocked at the south end. Not considered passable.

The footway on the north side of the A71 west of West Calder to Addiewell and Breich could be suitable for shared path use. There is probably more path buried beneath. Needs cleaning, removal of, encroachment.

Beware of flooding in wet weather

Path washed out due to water flowing across the path from ground on the south side of the path.

Steps could be replaced by a ramp

Prone to flooding. Water gathers on the higher land on the west side of the path and flows onto the path. Needs a ditch to gather the water and pipe it under the path.
